Originally from Australia and now based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Laurie is an emerging artist who discovered her dormant artistic talents in April 2023, when she first joined an art class based in Whitley Bay to meet new people from her local area.

 

She now continues her art journey, characterised by its rich symbolism, exploring a variety of mediums, (her favourites currently graphite, acrylic and oil paint) reflecting her experimental and dynamic approach to creativity. Through her art, she strives to weave intricate symbols into each piece from her life experiences, inviting viewers to delve deeper into the layers of meaning.

 

When Laurie is not behind her easel, she is usually mentoring new creatives and entrepreneurs in building business skills, through a government funded program available for free through Mastered.
